Hello Parents and Students!

I hope you are all enjoying your summer!  Mine is off to a great start and we are so busy at the studio.  We've been cleaning, organizing, accumulating new music and materials, interviewing candidates for our teaching positions and of course, teaching our summer session!

Summer is definitely a time to take a break from the routines of the regular year and enjoy more time with family and friends.  But I also find it a great time to catch up on projects that I have been putting off or haven't had time to start or complete.  I love how it feels each September when I face the new year with a clean plate, ready to jump back in.  Continuing our piano practice offers us that same feeling of being ready and able to jump back in to lessons in the Fall.  So, make sure to use those rainy summer days productively - listen to the music of your favorite composer, read about their lives, go see a live concert - research some new music and of course, practice that piano!

Wishing you all a healthy, happy and safe summer!

Warm regards,

Reflecting back on the last few months of this year, I am so happy that life seems to be back to a normal, albeit a new normal.  Having all the students in the studio has been wonderful and I am so grateful that my little studio has been able to weather this storm, thanks to my teachers, my students and of course, all of our wonderful families!  We have gone through many changes here the past few years and I am sure there will be more to come - but I have learned with a healthy balance of hard work and love, anything is possible.  Music has always been a healing, transformative presence in my life.  The process of learning how to play piano has been one that has taught me invaluable life lessons.  It is my hope that this also rings true for you and your children in the New Year and beyond.

Happy Summer

As we embark upon the last week of lessons, I am full of gratitude to have been able to spend the entire year teaching in person!  So much has changed but the one thing that has remained constant is music.  Not even a pandemic could stop our deep desire to make and listen to music.  I know for me, it has been the biggest blessing and has gotten me through times when everything seemed hopeless.   Joel, Bianca and I thank all of you for making this possible.  From sharing you and your children to being so cooperative in keeping us all healthy - we are grateful.  Wishing you all a happy and healthy summer!
