The studio is almost ready to open for the Fall!  I am so excited for all the changes and I can't wait to get back at teaching full time.  I hope summer has been wonderful and restful for all of you.  Take advantage of the rest of the warm sunny days AND......rainy days to get back into practicing!  Enjoy the rest of your summer and see you all soon!

Dear Students and Families,

The new year has gotten off to a smooth start at the Peterson Studio.  I am absolutely LOVING teaching in my new space!  We have finished preparing goal sheets and I hope your children have shown them to you by now.  If not, please take a look at them.  There is a space for student, teacher and parent to sign.

I am sad to announce that Elliot Steel will be leaving the studio as he is moving out of state.  I have loved teaching with Elliot and I know we will all miss him.  On a bright note, I have hired Joel Carpenter, who will be taking on private students as well as assisting me in the groups.  Joel has already met many of your children and I am excited to begin working with him.  Bianca will be continuing to assist me in groups as well as maintaining a few of her private lessons.

Everyone is a little rusty from a long summer without weekly lessons.  It is important to try to schedule a set time for piano practice, even if it is several small sessions throughout the day or weekend.  Practice is the most beneficial when it is goal oriented rather than time oriented so even five minutes at the piano becomes very important.

If you need tips on how to help your child practice, just visit my website, or contact me and I will send some resources your way.

I am looking forward to a wonderful, musical year and I thank you for sharing your children with all of us at the studio.

Very truly yours,
